Foundation

The Larry O’Bannon Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that was created in 2006. The center value of the organization is to make a difference in the lives of young people in our neighborhoods and put them on the path to success. Though our main focus is on the kids, we also help those who are in need in the community. The L.O. Foundation has a back to school program in August to give kids school supplies and uniforms for back to school. We have fund raising summer basketball camps for kids to enjoy themselves, learn from some of the basketball greats, and find motivation from the guest speakers we have each day. During the Thanksgiving holiday season, we have the L.O. Foundation Food/Can Drive. It’s two-weeks of collecting can goods/food items, which are donated to the Kentucky Harvest Association. The funds raised will go to start a mentor program called “Lifestyle,” which will be designed to structure youth toward the path of success.
